Reclaiming the Feminine
Our female bodies have a distinct physiology and we require an approach to our self-care, exercise routines and lifestyle which takes our feminine essence into account.
Far from being a genderizing statement, this consideration is based on our basic genetics (XX). Modern women face an unprecedented challenge to maintaining balance and wellness while juggling the multiple tasks of work and family, in a culture dominated by masculine values, which also hold an important a place in our lives, but in order to preserve wholeness in our physical and emotional bodies we need to honor the Feminine, which expresses through circular rhythms such as the lunar phases and seasons of the year.
Living in accordance with our feminine nature implicates embracing the cyclicity of feminine energies, which usually doesn’t have a place in the linear structure of our society.
The Feminine can be embodied in our everyday lives regardless of our gender identity or sexual orientation.
Depending on our biology, the price paid for denying the feminine energetic workings is seen in the increasing rates of menstrual and hormonal irregularities, adrenal exhaustion, or simply a diminished experience of our natural vitality and vibrant wellness. We often need to intentionally pause to hear the whisper of the Feminine. Her voice is some times a silent cry, others a loud scream begging for acknowledgement. In almost all cases, it comes from a hidden place in the shadows of our overactive psyche and requires us slowing down enough to recognize it.
We can reclaim the healing power of the Feminine through the way we eat, move, work and rest, in respect of our cyclic nature and using its gifts, so that we may witness ourselves blooming and fulfilling our potential in every aspect of our lives.
